Ghisolfi excited to help Black Cats in 'new chapter'

NEW Sunderland director of football Florent Ghisolfi has vowed to bring his wealth of experience to help build on what the Black Cats have achieved so far under owner Kyril Louis-Dreyfuss.
The 40-year-old was confirmed in his new role at the Stadium of Light yesterday after leaving Italian giants AS Roma.
He will be tasked with overseeing the club's strategy and long-term goals following promotion to the Premier League after eight years away, working closely with Kristjaan Speakman and head coach Regis Le Bris.
Ghisolfi, who has worked with French sides RC Lens and OCG Nice, also had a spell as assistant manager at Stade de Reums, after an 11-year playing career.
