NORTHUMBERLAND'S Charlotte Naughton is on cloud nine after winning the individual title at the World Junior Girls Championship.
The Longhirst Hall golfer shot an impressive 10 under par to finish one shot ahead of home favourite Clara Ding at St Catharine’s Golf & Country Club in Canada.
“I am so happy I've won the World Junior Girls Championship,” said the England Golf girls’ squad star.
“T’ve played really well this week and my putting was the best part of my game as I’ve holed quite a few putts.”
Opening with a two-under par 70, 17-year-old Naughton followed up with a second-round 66 (-6) - the second lowest score of the week - to lead at the halfway stage at eight under, before adding a 68 (-4) 24 hours later.
