DECISIONS HAVE NOT BEEN MADE ON DOZENS OF PLANNING APPLICATIONS
DOZENS of planning applications seeking to build new homes in Kirklees are waiting a decision.
Each month, plans are submitted by developers hoping to secure Kirklees Council's permission to bring their vision to life.
December was no different, with several applications made to the local authority.
There is a push to up the number of homes being built in Kirklees for several reasons, including the absence of a five-year land supply and the council's failure to meet its housing targets.
The local authority is currently overhauling its Local Plan and recently stated that the aim is for 1,873 to be constructed across the borough each year.
Despite this added pressure, it isn't a given that plans will be approved, with each application judged on its merits and determined by officers or the planning committee.
Below are five developments proposed for Kirklees over the past month.
Plans to construct two new homes on a plot of land at Clough Hey in Marsden have been submitted to Kirklees Council.
