Writers invited to meet others at one-day event

WRITERS from Plymouth and the surrounding area are invited to a special one-day free event which will feature publishers and creative writing experts and give them the chance to meet other authors.
The South Hams Literary Festival is hosting A Day for Local Writers next Saturday, June 14, from 10.30am to 3.30pm, upstairs at the Feelgood at Unit 8 gym, near Endsleigh, Ivybridge.
The event will feature publishers, creative writing groups, writers' collectives, proof readers, the South Hams Authors Network and more.
Entry to the event is free, as is parking and refreshments are available. There is no need to book in advance.
For the first two hours there will be a drop-in session where writers can be "inspired and discover your next step as a writer"
They will be able to talk to "professionals, authors and colleagues and connect with a supportive community."
