RIGGER Jordan Hogg died from a 'slash injury to his neck’ a coroner’s court has heard.

- By POPPY KENNEDY

Previously, four men and two teenagers have appeared in court to deny a murder charge following the death of the 28-year-old in the early hours of February 28 this year.

An investigation was launched into an alleged stabbing and an area of Fonteyn Court in Hemlington, Middlesbrough, was closed off in the aftermath of Mr Hogg’s death.

An inquest into Mr Hogg’s death was opened by Teesside Coroner Paul Appleton on Friday.

Mr Hogg, who lived in Fonteyn Court, died outside his home, the coroner's court heard.

Mr Appleton said: “In very brief details, the current cause of death are that Mr Hogg died as a result of what is being described as a slash injury to his neck.”
