ROB Edwards made a strong statement to Middlesbrough supporters after their reaction towards Morgan Whittaker as he came off during the draw at Deepdale, writes CRAIG JOHNS.
Whittaker was taken off by Edwards in the 65th minute of the 2-2 draw, with Boro 1-0 down at the time.
After a poor first half, Boro were showing signs of improvement after the interval, but Whittaker's struggles at the club were continuing in another frustrating afternoon for the forward.
