Sibling political rivalries

As Matthew 10:35 and Luke 12:53 predicted, brothers will be against brothers, sisters against sisters. Sons will defy their fathers and daughters will disobey their mothers. Sons-in-laws shall fight their fathers-in-laws and daughters-in-laws shall oppose their mothers-in-law.

- Atty. Josephus B. Jimenez josephusbjimenez@gmail.com

Senator Jinggoy Estrada, eldest son of President Erap and Dr Loi, couldn't see eye-to-eye with Senator JV Ejercito, Erap's son with Guia Gomez. JV's campaign moniker was "The Good One", which made Jinggoy look like the bad guy. But lately, they became civil and even often bantered with each other.

The Villars in the Senate are, for the moment, okay with each other, but only while they aren’t yet bickering over their business empire. The trend in human destiny indicates that sooner or later Senators Mark and Camille shall also collide, just like how Cynthia collided with her brother, Nene Aguilar, resulting in her momentous debacle in Las Piñas last May 12.

Look at Senator Imee Marcos, against her own brother's administration, or defeated senatorial candidate Abigail Binay versus former senator and now Makati City Mayor Nancy Binay. The Binays are doing the same as the Aguilars and Villars. Cynthia was humbled by an unknown entity put up by her brother to teach her a lesson.

Show me the law on "Senate Protective Custody"

It is my honor and privilege to concur with my former DOLE boss, former Senate president (for three times) former senator for 24 years, former secretary of Justice and former DOLE secretary Franklin M. Drilon, that there is no such \"animal\" as Senate Protective Custody in the annals of our legal system, to justify the momentary avoidance of arrest by the NBI operatives who were on official mission to enforce the International Criminal Court warrant of arrest of Senator Ronald Dela Rosa.
