POST-QUAKE ASSESSMENT: Mayor Archival gathers school officials on resumption of face-to-face classes

Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival recently met with university administrators and student council leaders for proper coordination on the phased resumption of face-to-face classes, focusing on structural safety and mental health support following the September 30 earthquake.

The meeting, held at the Cebu City Hall, gathered representatives from 11 major institutions, including the University of San Carlos (USC), University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R), Cebu Institute of Technology—University (CIT-U), University of the Visayas (UV), Cebu Technological University (CTU), Southwestern University (SWU), University of the Philippines (UP) Cebu, Cebu Normal University (CNU), Velez College, and Cebu Eastern College (CEC).
School officials reported that most buildings had passed initial structural assessments and were deemed safe for occupancy.
