The Lapu-Lapu City Heroes had a double celebration after they swept the championship titles in the open division of Patid Para Sa Kapatid (Kick For A Cause) football festival at the Mactan Air Base Elementary School (MABES) field recently.

In the men's category, the Heroes marched into the semifinals with a 3-1 win-loss record. They rolled past Canduman, 1-0, Hermanos, 2-0, and Opon FC B, 1-0, with their lone setback against Ninja, 1-0.
