Fireworks selling at SRP now open

Holiday fireworks sales officially opened yesterday at the bay area of South Road Properties (SRP), Cebu City's designated firecracker zone, as authorities also warned those who go beyond the authorized guidelines.

At least 16 stalls under the Cebu City Fireworks Association (CCFA) began displaying products after permits were signed only the day before.
“Pasalamat gihapon mi nga bahalag na dugay, at least naa gyud,” CCFA’s Marivic Cusi said in an interview with reporters yesterday.
Cusi admitted their stocks are limited this year due to calamities that disrupted production.
“Sa pagka karon, gamay ra gyud among stocks... Unta pamalit namo kay basin di namo kaabot sa New Year,” she added, noting that prices remain unchanged from last year.
