Knocked out by World No.7 Australia in FIBA Asia Cup
-
Gilas Pilipinas ran through a brick wall that is Australia and went down with a thud, 84-60, as it finally saw its campaign in the 31st FIBA Asia Cup come to an end Wednesday night, August 13, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The two-time reigning champion pulled away early behind its hot three-point shooting led by Jaylin Galloway as the Boomers flexed their muscles in the first seven minutes of the game at the King Abdullah Sports City.
The Boomers connected seven of their first eight shots from beyond the arc to take a 24-8 lead that shook Gilas on its feet and forced the team to play catch up the rest of the way.
