Blast sets firecracker stalls on fire in Barili

According to reports, two men, who are believed to be nonresidents of the area, quickly fled the scene when the fire broke out.

Trasporte said authorities have not yet concluded whether the two men were intoxicated at the time of the incident, noting that the suspects immediately fled the scene after the firecracker ignited.

"Dili pa nato ma-conclude kung hubog ba gyud sila kay nidagan man dayon ang mga lalaki human sa pagboto," he said.

Residents initially managed to restrain the suspected buyers, but they were later released as people rushed to move vehicles and help control the chaos at the fire scene.
