Mumbai among crucial minting centres featured in new Modi-era collectibles book

Mumbai has featured prominently among the country’s minting centres in a newly launched coffee table book that documents India’s transformation during the premiership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi through stamps, coins and banknotes issued between 2014 and 2019.
Apart from Mumbai, it also features commemorative and circulation coins minted in Kolkata, Hyderabad and Noida, alongside banknotes produced at printing facilities across the country.
Launched by Mintage World, the world’s first online museum dedicated to coins, stamps and banknotes, ‘‘Stamps, Coins, and Banknotes Issued During the Premiership of Shri Narendra Modi’’ presents a chronological record of official issues released during Modi’s first term in office.
