Kharge loses cool during Hariprasad’s induction

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday publicly reprimanded party workers during the induction ceremony of newly appointed Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president B.K. Hariprasad, stressing that discipline and the party’s collective ideology must take precedence over individual leaders.
The incident took place at Bengaluru’s Palace Grounds during a large gathering organised to mark Hariprasad’s assumption of office as KPCC chief.
While Kharge was addressing the crowd, a section of party workers repeatedly raised slogans in support of Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, chanting “DK, DK, DK.”
The slogans interrupted Kharge’s speech, prompting an immediate and sharp reaction from the veteran Congress leader.
