Govt Invites Application for SEBI Chief Post

With less than a month left for the tenure of Madhabi Puri Buch to end as the chairperson of SEBI, the Ministry of Finance has invited applications for the post.
Buch took charge of the SEBI board on March 1, 2022. She was the first person from the private sector to take the position of SEBI chief, and is the first woman to chair the capital market regulator. She had earlier served as the whole-time member of SEBI from April 2017 to October 2021.
