Bomb threat emails targets CMO, RSS and AMC office

THREATENED | Police, BDDS and cyber teams launched extensive searches after emails allegedly sent in the name of the Khalistan National Army
A wave of bomb threat emails targeting some of Gujarat's most sensitive government and organizational offices triggered a major security scare on Wednesday, prompting emergency evacuations, intensive searches and a statewide security alert.
Threatening emails claiming to be from the "Khalistan National Army" warned of explosions at the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) in Gandhinagar, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) headquarters and the RSS office in Ahmedabad at specific times during the day.
The alarming messages claimed that bombs would explode at the CMO at 1:11 pm, the AMC headquarters at 3:11 pm and the RSS office at 5:11 pm. As soon as the emails were received, police, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) personnel, fire officials and cyber crime teams rushed to the locations and launched extensive search operations.
