WHY EYE CARE MATTERS IN HOT WEATHER

Your eyes are incredibly sensitive organs exposed directly to environmental conditions. During extreme heat, several factors can compromise eye health:

1. Dehydration

High temperatures cause the body to lose fluids rapidly, which can reduce tear production. As tears play a crucial role in maintaining eye moisture and comfort, dehydration can result in dryness, irritation, and discomfort.

2. Ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun is at its peak during the summer months, especially between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Prolonged exposure to these rays without proper eye protection can lead to several serious eye conditions.
