BJP, RJD call Kishor’s JSP a ‘B-team’ ahead of Bihar polls

From being accused of acting as the ‘B-team’ of the BJP to now being branded the ‘B-team’ of the NDA’s arch-rival RJD, Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party (JSP) is striving to dispel suspicion that it is working in the NDA’s favour ahead of the high-stakes Bihar polls slated for October-November.

The shift in perception, however, only serves to strengthen the new party's profile in the run-up to the elections.

Following a series of explosive allegations against top leaders of the ruling BJP and JD(U), the JSP—once dismissed as a BJP proxy—is now accused of tacitly favouring Bihar’s principal opposition, the RJD.

While the BJP had largely maintained silence over Kishor’s charges against leaders including Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, state president Dilip Jaiswal, Paschim Champaran MP Sanjay Jaiswal, and state health minister Mangal Pandey, its leaders have now broken cover, dismissing Kishor as “the B-team of the RJD.”
