There were legends and laughter at the 12th Annual Savanna Comics' Choice Comedy Awards held in Johannesburg recently.

The event was a spectacular showcase of humour, pride and the dynamic spirit of South Africa through stand-up, skits and music.
Twelve categories were celebrated, with each winner receiving the coveted Waldo trophy – a beautifully designed symbol of their exceptional achievement.
The 2025 Savanna Ebby (formally known as the Newcomer Award) winner is Khanyisile Ngwenya.
Born and raised in Soweto, Ngwenya has turned adversity into art.
