Bushiri visit taints Shivambu

REPUTATION DAMAGE: MK SECRETARY-GENERAL MUST MAKE EFFORT TO CLEAR HIS NAME - EXPERT
The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party secretary-general, Floyd Shivambu's visit to self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri has damaged his reputation and that of MK, according to reputation management expert Tshepo Matseba yesterday.
Shivambu has been criticised after he visited the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) Church led by Bushiri in Malawi. Bushiri is a fugitive wanted by South African law enforcement agencies, which are currently trying to have him extradited to face the criminal charges that he allegedly committed when he was operating in this country.
In November 2020, he was arrested on charges including fraud and rape. After he was granted bail he sneaked out of the country.
