THE largest section of the Sycamore Gap tree went on permanent display in Northumberland National Park yesterday.

Its new home at The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre, aims to give the public a space for reflection, remembrance and reconnection.

The Sycamore Gap tree was felled overnight on September 28, 2023. Two Cumbrian men, Daniel Graham, 39, and Adam Carruthers, 33, have been found guilty of criminal damage to the tree amounting to £622,191 and damage to Hadrian's Wall assessed at £1,144; and are due to be sentenced next Tuesday.
