PM Modi initiates projects totalling Rs 35,700 crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for projects totalling Rs 35,700 crore in Jharkhand on Friday, marking a significant boost to the state's infrastructure and industrial development.

One of the key projects inaugurated by the Prime Minister was the Rs 8,900-crore fertiliser plant of Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd in Sindri, located in Dhanbad district. This plant, expected to contribute approximately 12.7 lakh metric tonnes per annum of indigenous urea production, is a crucial step towards enhancing self-sufficiency in fertilizer production and ensuring the welfare of farmers across the country. Notably, the Sindri plant becomes the third fertiliser facility to be revived in India, following similar endeavours in Gorakhpur and Ramagundam.
