54 Buildings Found Unsafe in Gurugram

The Haryana Human Rights Commission (HHRC) has expressed strong displeasure over the inaction of the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), as 54 buildings in the city have been declared dangerous, but the municipal corporation has not taken any concrete action pertaining to the same.
The Commission has directed the Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Chief Engineer to appear in person in the next hearing and respond.
It is pertinent to mention that on February 10, 2022, two women were killed and a man was injured when a part of a multi-storey building collapsed in Chintal Paradiso Society in Gurugram. After this incident, the investigation of the case was handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). So far, two charge sheets have been filed, in which 11 people have been made accused.
