US President Donald Trump on Thursday expressed confidence about a strong trade agreement with India and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him a "fantastic leader," during remarks made at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Speaking to Indian media, Trump said India and the United States would strike a favourable deal. "Will have a great deal with India," he said, underlining optimism on bilateral trade ties.
