Vice President Sara Duterte said she was shocked by an idea being floated by Sen. Robin Padilla of her and Sen. Imee Marcos running in tandem for president and vice president, respectively, in the 2028 national elections.

- By RAYMUND ANTONIO

In a media interview in Davao City, the Vice President shared that she first heard about it during Padilla’s speech in Malaysia.

Padilla and Marcos accompanied Duterte during a personal trip in Kuala Lumpur, where she also attended the Independence Day celebrations and met overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

“Una ko nadinig ‘yan kay Sen. Robin Padilla at nagulat din ako dahil dun ko nadinig nagtatalumpati siya sa stage sa Malaysia at pagkakaintindi ko dun ay nagbibiro siya,” she said.
