Not even the long respite could slow down University of Santo Tomas as the Golden Tigresses beat the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons, 25-20, 25-21, 25-18 win to advance to the semis round of the UAAP Season 87Volleyball tournament on Wednesday, April 23, at Mall of Asia Arena.
Drawing another inspired performances from Angge Poyos and Reg Jurado, the Golden Tigresses produced big plays each time UP made a comeback attempt to extend their winning run to four games for an overall mark of 9-4.
