GUILDFORD BOSS SAYS SIDE NEEDS TO BUILD ON A SUCCESSFUL CAMPAIGN
AFTER A successful first season with has seen them finish comfortably mid-table, manager Carl Taylor hopes to build on that in 2025-26 and see Guildford City challenging for promotion to Step 4.
The Sweeney finished their Combined Counties League Premier South season on Saturday with a 1-0 defeat to Redhill - who expect to be crowned league champions later in the week.
Guildford gave the Lobsters, who needed all three points to claim the league title, a run for their money and it was not until the 93rd minute that striker Charlie Penny found a way past the home defence.
And Taylor explained it was not the first time his side had proved hard to beat for Redhill this season.
