ANYONE who had a 'vampire facial' at a Wolverhampton aesthetics clinic has been urged to get a blood test due to a 'risk of bloodborne viruses'.

- KELLY ASHMORE News Reporter

Clients who opted for a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment at Olivia's Aesthetics should contact UKHSA infection control experts to arrange testing.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), City of Wolverhampton Council, and Black Country Integrated Care Board (ICB) have identified inadequate cleaning of equipment used for this treatment at the clinic as a risk to health.

Clinic clients were told the risk of contracting bloodborne viruses such as Hepatitis B and C, or HIV was 'low, however testing was being offered as a precautionary measure.

Olivia's Aesthetics offered vampire facials when it operated from 2a Lloyd Hill, Stourbridge Road.

The independent business has since moved address and no longer offers the treatment.
