CHILDREN at a primary school were added to a vile WhatsApp group in which they were urged to send inappropriate photos.

- BY SALLY HIND

Police have now launched an investigation after the group targeted P6 pupils at Paradykes Primary in Loanhead, Midlothian.

The pupils, who would be nine or 10 years old, were told “not to let parents know” after being added to the disturbing chat.

Midlothian Council said support was being offered to children involved after alerting parents to the incident in an email.

The local authority said the group had not been accessed using council-issued devices given to children at the start of term.
