Craig wants to show kids where he nabbed his only Scotland goal

- BY FRASER WILSON

LOOK WHAT YOUR DADDY DID

CRAIG MACKAIL-SMITH still talks through the goal like it was the most important of the 197 he netted in a career as a renowned poacher.

It wasn't. Not by a long shot. Just months earlier he scored at Wembley in a play-off final win that took Peterborough into the Championship.

But there's something about his header that bulged the net for Scotland in the most unfashionable of venues back in October 2014 that will always be close to his heart.

It would be his only international goal from a Scotland career that lasted just seven caps.

The 1-0 win over the minnows of Liechtenstein in Vaduz was a low-key evening in a very forgettable Euro 2012 qualifying campaign.

But for Mackail-Smith it will always be one of the proudest moments of his career.

Which is why he was only too happy to go over it all again for MailSport ahead of Scotland's return to Vaduz tomorrow night for the first time since that night the English-born hitman was the toast of the Tartan Army.

He said: “It's going to bring back great memories.
