‘Danger to kids’ didn’t tell police about bank cards
South Wales Evening Post
|May 25, 2026
A MAN branded a ‘‘sexual danger to children’’ by a judge has been jailed after not telling police about his new bank cards.
Bradley Jones from Neath was given until 2031 to tell police about any bank cards he has after being placed on the sex offenders register
The cards were discovered after Timothy Ayres was arrested on suspicion of engaging in sexual communications with a child.
As well as previous sexual offences, Timothy Ayres has convictions for using his knowledge of the dark web to run a business selling counterfeit currency which he boasted was ‘‘easy to pass in shops’’.
Ryan Bowen, prosecuting, told Swansea Crown Court that in 2020 the defendant was sentenced to 15 months in prison, made subject to a sexual harm prevention order and placed on the sex offenders register after sending a video of himself performing a sex act to an 11-year-old girl.
As part of the conditions imposed upon him, he was required to register any phone or bank cards he had with police within three days of acquiring them.
The court heard that on April 28 this year police arrested the defendant at his home address on Swansea seafront on suspicion of engaging in sexual communications with a child.
