Volunteers needed to help patients in hospital

South Wales Echo

|

February 25, 2026

THE Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) is urgently seeking around 60 Hospital Trolley Volunteers to support patients, staff, and visitors at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Pontyclun and the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend.

The hospital trolley service is led by volunteers to support those who are unable, or don't have time, to visit hospital shops themselves.

Volunteers bring refreshments, reading materials, toiletries and healthy treats directly to wards, helping to make hospital stays a little easier.
