Man who defied regulations fined £20,000

A MAN who put up two buildings in the green belt without planning permission, then refused to comply with a planning enforcement notice, has been fined £20,000 by Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court.

Jaswinder Ghag built two, one-storey brick structures at his property at Ash Road, Hartley in November 2019. His application for retrospective planning permission was then refused by Sevenoaks District Council, which, in 2022 served him with a Planning Enforcement Notice.
