Bryant takes top spot in 40th triathlon

THE 7 Oaks Triathlon celebrated its 40th year on Sunday - with 246 competitors taking part in the 2025 event.

It was chilly, but the weather was far better than last year, when everyone was drenched by rain.
As well as a triathlon (swim, bike, run), some competitors did a duathlon (run, bike, run) and others did an aquabike (swim, bike).
The top three in the open triathlon were Jamie Bryant, Simon Crook and Barry Stewart.
Bryant is a Tonbridge resident, and member of both Tonbridge Athletics Club and Southborough & District Wheelers.
The top three in the women’s triathlon were Sophie Vallis, Ellen Vermeulen and Maddy Adamson.
