It is utterly despicable that foreign nationals were arrested more than 172,000 times in a year, including for murder, rape and grooming.

The staggering number of alleged crimes - 172,889 - have, quite rightly, prompted calls for the UK to copy Donald Trump and introduce a red list of countries. And the only way we can do that is by leaving the European Convention on Human Rights.
