Ministers act as drivers complain of “dangerous” headlight dazzle!

NIGHT driving has become an increasing challenge for millions of UK motorists this winter. Recent reports from the BBC suggest ministers have launched a review of headlight standards after a surge in complaints from drivers “blinded” by the harsh glare of modern beams.

The latest RAC research shows three-quarters of drivers say glare is worse than ever and a third avoid driving at night. Older motorists, whose eyes take longer to recover from bright light, are most affected.
