MILLER HYPE WON'T ALTER BUDGET PLAN

But the Fir Park gaffer is not banking on being handed a bumper transfer kitty from the takings.

The Steelmen are expecting huge interest in the 18-year-old, with Celtic in the hunt for the youngster along with a host of clubs from England and abroad.

Motherwell are looking to rake up a record fee of more than £4million for the PFA Scotland young player of the year nominee, and Wimmer admitted the midfielder’s phone will be ringing off the hook.

“We are expecting interest and that increases the pressure on his shoulders,” said Wimmer.

“For a young guy to deal with this type of situation is tough.

“I imagine his phone and his agent’s phone is ringing all day! But he deals with that so well. His composure is still there and he’s concentrating on football.
