LYALL WILL MAKE THE FIZZING DONS FANS SMILE, INSISTS MILNE

LYALL CAMERON'S signing may have caused controversy but Jack Milne is convinced he has the quality to rise above it and shine at Aberdeen.

- BY SCOTT BURNS

Elements of the Dons support are unhappy the 23-year-old midfielder has arrived on loan from Rangers - with a history of bad blood between the clubs - and without an option to buy.

They don't want to see their club developing a Premiership rival's player only to let him go at the end of the season.

Rangers, however, are still waiting for a fee to be set for the midfielder's summer transfer from Dundee and even if they wanted to sell they couldn't set a price.

Cameron has walked into the eye of the storm but his debut display in helping set up Milne for the only goal in Sunday's Scottish Cup win over Raith Rovers made an instant impact at Pittodrie.

He was given a standing ovation by the Red Army as he came off and Milne (above) isn't surprised because he has seen him up close and personal with Scotland's Under-21s.
