Laid-back Lando looks to park the D pressure ahead of title finale

- DANIEL MOXON

MENTALITY could be the difference between being crowned Formula One world champion this weekend - and falling short.

As a four-time title-winner, Max Verstappen has nothing to prove.

But Lando Norris, who has for many years been refreshingly open about his mental health for years, has been unfairly painted as fragile as a result.

A perception has some people predicting a final-day collapse in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, as the Briton enters the event with a 12-point lead over Verstappen. While his mood does swing with more volatility than that of his laidback teammate Oscar Piastri, Norris knows he has what it takes to get the job done. And, at 26, he also knows there will be more opportunities even if he does fall short this time.
