Warning for support worker who falsely recorded home visits

A Paisley social worker has been given a warning after she falsely recorded that she had completed home visits to a vulnerable adult.

- EMYLIE HOWIE

Hilda Musasa was employed by Caring Hearts Limited as a support worker in the town when she “acted dishonestly” and stated she had made three home visits to a vulnerable service user.

Musasa confirmed she had visited a care client between 12.08pm and 12.36pm; from 3.58pm to 4.32pm; and again between 7.15pm and 7.32pm on May 1, 2023.

However, Musasa’s blatant lie was caught out as the district nursing team had attended at the service user's home that day at approximately 12.10pm and the individual was subsequently admitted to hospital around 2pm.

An investigation by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) concluded that Musasa’s actions “were dishonest” and called into question her “suitability to work in social services”.
