You all know alongside being Paisley’s MSP, I am a very proud Buddie and love nothing more than supporting our local team as they play my favourite game in the world.

- BY PAISLEY MSP GEORGE ADAM

Football brings people together

Football has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember so naturally, I was extremely excited to watch the first games of the World Cup kick off this weekend.

While I love the game and the excitement of supporting our national team just as much as anyone else, for me the true joy of the World Cup is watching millions of people from across the globe coming together to celebrate the beautiful game.

From packed stadiums to living rooms and local pubs full of friends and family celebrating together, football has a unique ability to unite communities and create lasting memories.

For Scotland, the World Cup always captures the imagination, and I think as a nation it's fair to say we can all get swept up in the hope and excitement!
