Muggers pounced on elderly woman in alleyway attack

81-YEAR-OLD VICTIM WAS SHOVED TO THE GROUND
AN 81-YEAR-OLD woman was ambushed by two muggers who attacked her as she walked down an alleyway in broad daylight.
The victim was walking down the alleyway which leads from Longdale Road to Mansfield Road, Daybrook, when she was targeted at noon on Tuesday.
Two men on bikes approached their elderly victim from behind, pushing her to the ground and snatching her handbag, containing cash, bank cards and house keys.
Police are checking CCTV footage and forensics, as well as making house-to-house inquiries.
They are also appealing to the public for help, especially anyone who knows who committed the robbery, or has any dash cam footage.
