Public support sees £30k raised for otter charity to create new centre

Dave Webb

The UK Wild Otter Trust, which revealed it had just six months to relocate its North Devon base, saw donations pour in almost immediately after launching an urgent appeal. The initial fundraising goal was reached within 48 hours, and the total has now surged past £30,000.

The funding will enable the trust to dismantle its existing centre, restore the land and begin rebuilding a purpose-built home - all while continuing to care for vulnerable otters already in its charge.
