Exmoor National Park Authority confirmed its FiPL allocation for the past year had risen to £1.2 million to deliver environmental and community schemes

- by LEWIS CLARKE lewis.clarke@reachplc.com @DevonLiveNews

MORE than £1.2 million has been invested in Exmoor’s farming community over the past year through the Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) programme, delivering a wide range of environmental and community benefits across the national park.

Exmoor National Park Authority confirmed this month, that its FiPL allocation for the past year had risen to £1.2 million, thanks to a successful bid for additional government funds. The funding, which supports rural resilience in protected landscapes across England, was initially introduced in July 2021 in response to the agricultural transition following Brexit.
