Donating to Indian NGO from UAE? No FCRA checks for NRIs

—Name withheld on request

Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 (FCRA) is a legislation dealing with foreign contributions received by an Indian NGO. The two conditions to trigger the applicability of FCRA provisions are: (a) the donor must be classified as a 'foreign source'; (b) nature of funds received must qualify as a 'foreign contribution'.
