Metro rail needs more green power: Urban affairs minister

Union housing and urban affairs minister Manohar Lal called for more renewable energy use in metro operations to achieve India's energy transition goals which include ramping up renewable energy capacity, promoting electric vehicles, and hitting net-zero emissions by 2070.
Speaking at the 31st foundation day of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Saturday in the national capital, the minister also proposed cargo compartments for small businessmen to transport goods across the city
