India-UAE goods trade surges past $100 billion

Merchandise trade between India and the UAE crossed the $100 billion-mark in 2024-25, two years ahead of the target set when their free trade agreement (FTA) went live on 1 May 2022, although the balance of the trade is heavily tilted in favour of the UAE.
While Indian exports to the UAE grew 2.84% to $36.64 billion in 2024-25 from a year ago, its imports from the UAE jumped 32.06% to $63.42 billion, as per government data. The asymmetrical growth led to a massive $26.79 billion tr
