Cash incentives await AYG medalists

Christmas came early for Filipino medalists at the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain after the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) are set to give them cash incentives.
The announcement came on Monday, Nov. 3, during the Philippine team's medal presentation at the East Ocean Palace in Paranaque City.
The ceremony also honored the 143-athlete PH squad that went home with seven gold, seven silver and 10 bronze medals.
"Tinutukan na natin 'to, sinong mananalo sa AYG at sa Youth Olympic Games, yan narin ang mananalo sa Olympics at sa Asian Games, wag na nating bitawan 'to. I'm sure alam natin that is the right pathway," said PSC Chairman Patrick "Patro" Gregorio.
