₱6.793-T budget plan submitted to Marcos

2026 expenditure program focuses on education, food security, healthcare
President Marcos has received the copy of the proposed national budget for next year, amounting to ₱6.793 trillion, 7.4 percent higher than the enacted budget for 2025.
Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah Pangandaman officially turned over the Fiscal Year 2026 National Expenditure Program to Marcos on Tuesday, Aug. 12, in a ceremonial turnover in Malacañan.
According to Malacañang, the 2026 national budget will prioritize quality and accessible education, healthcare systems and services, expanded social protection programs, and food security.
