Treat in store as curtain goes up on new cinema

IT'S curtains up on a town's first cinema in nearly four decades.

The Northern Light on Stanley Square in Sale has seen a former WH Smith store turned into a boutique three-screen venue.

The luxury cinema, which has opened with screenings of new films including Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy and Captain America: Brave New World, boasts two 57-seat screens and a third 39-seat space with the choice of sitting in luxury chairs or on sofas.
